Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow isn’t holding back when it comes to 2021 season prep.

The franchise passer has hinted he’d like to get some preseason reps in this summer so he can feel the pass-rush again in a live-game setting. That’s wild enough considering at one point it wasn’t even a guarantee he’d be on the field for Week 1.

This aggressive approach from Burrow, who has more velocity behind his throws now thanks to the nature of his rehab, extends to everyday practices.

Take Monday, for example, where Burrow stayed behind after practice and worked on deep routes with wideouts Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase.

Joe Danneman of Fox 19 provided the video:

It’s nothing amazing by any means. But this isn’t the first time Burrow and his weapons have put in extra work this summer and it surely won’t be the last.

With the defense kicking the tar out of the offense right now and talking trash while doing it, Burrow and the weapons around him aren’t only working within the time constraints of a practice.
