Joe Burrow, with an assist from SpongeBob, slimes Ja’Marr Chase

A week ago, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow finally got to meet SpongeBob SquarePants.

There, the superstar quarterback, as part of winning the Nickelodeon Valuable Player Award, got slimed.

And this Thursday? It was Ja’Marr Chase’s turn — again.

Chase, already an NVP one time this year, surpassed his quarterback’s count thanks to his 266 yards and three touchdowns in an AFC North-clinching triumph against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Naturally, SpongeBob was in town Thursday. So was the slime, as Tyler Boyd and others helped dunk Chase with the green stuff.

And almost as if getting some revenge, Burrow busted out his own personal can of the goop and let Chase have it too:
