Joe Mixon issues farewell message to Bengals fans after trade to Texans

Joe Mixon has issued a goodbye to the Cincinnati Bengals and their fans in the wake of his trade to the Houston Texans.

The Bengals struck a surprise trade with the Texans for Mixon after a report said the team planned to release him. That move would have followed the team signing free agent Zack Moss.

Instead, the Bengals did right by Mixon, sending him to a contender while keeping all of his contractual earnings intact, too. This allowed the team to also keep the cap savings while making the big change at the position, plus getting trade compensation from the Texans.
