The Baltimore Ravens picked up an incredible 36-35 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 of the 2021 season. The game was an instant classic, with both teams trading scores, coming up with big turnovers and making clutch plays. However, Baltimore made a couple of game-changing plays at the end of the game which secured them a win.

The final play that the Ravens made to put the game on ice was a crucial 4th-and-1 play. Baltimore had a huge decision to make, and head coach John Harbaugh put his faith in quarterback Lamar Jackson to make the call. Jackson trotted back onto the field, picked up the first down with his legs, and gave the Ravens their first win against Kansas City in four seasons.

The faith that Harbaugh displayed in Jackson during a huge fourth-down is similar to what happened in a game against the Seattle Seahawks during the 2019 season. The head coach asked the quarterback if he wanted to go for it on fourth-down, and Jackson uttered the now-famous words “Hell yeah coach let’s go for it”.

The Ravens believe in each other. That goes for the players, the coaches, and everyone else in the organization. The big fourth-down conversion against Kansas City could be a turning point in Baltimore’s 2021 season, as it was the last piece to the puzzle of finally beating the Chiefs.
