The big hit from Andre Cisco that concussed Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has been forgiven.

On Thursday, Smith-Schuster told reporters that the Jacksonville Jaguars safety reached out via a direct message on social media to apologize for the hit.

Cisco, 22, was public enemy No. 1 in Kansas City when he leveled to Chiefs receivers with hits that didn’t draw penalties. While a flag was initially thrown for his hit on Smith-Schuster, officials picked it up after a discussion.

Still, Cisco was fined $6,612 for the hit and Chiefs players weren’t happy about the play.

“We were mad,” Chiefs safety Justin Reid said after the game, via ABC News. “I’ve had a lot of big hits and not once have I made helmet-to-helmet contact like that.”

With the rematch between the Chiefs and Jaguars set for Saturday, the bad blood appears to be in the rearview mirror.

Cisco was the Jaguars’ third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and finished the regular season with three interceptions, one of which came in the 27-17 loss to the Chiefs in November.
