It’s absolutely mind-blowing how little the acquisitions of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields have affected the Pittsburgh Steelers’ available salary cap space.

Per Spotrac, Fields’ base salary and roster bonus carry a total cap hit of $3.233 million or 1.25 percent.

According to the updated Top-51 cap space provided by Spotrac, the Steelers have the eighth-lowest, ranking 25th with $12 million. Omar Khan hasn’t begun restructuring current contracts, but once he does, the picture will look even brighter.
