The Rams linebacker got heated on Sunday

LA Rams linebacker Kenny Young was ejected during the second half against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday after a brief altercation with a player led to an emotionally-charged reaction to the referee who stepped in to break up the fight. Young was immediately flagged, then ejected after he yelled at and made inadvertent contact with the official who stepped into the pile.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on Monday morning that the Rams linebacker will not face suspension from the league for his actions on Sunday in Week 2 against the Colts, but he is still potentially subject to fines. That part will be reviewed by the league this week.

The Rams allowed a touchdown on that drive — the only touchdown allowed by the defense all day — and Young ended up missing out on the fourth quarter. Rookie third round pick Ernest Jones played in nine snaps on defense.
