Falcons’ Kyle Pitts shuts down report about Kirk Cousins wanting No. 8

As we get closer to the new league year, the Atlanta Falcons continue to get linked to different quarterbacks. Justin Fields and Kirk Cousins are the two names everyone keeps talking about. Fields is on the trade block and Cousins is headed to free agency where he will likely receive a substantial contract from his next team.

The latest QB rumor came from Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, who said Cousins was already in touch with Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts over potentially wearing the No. 8 next season in Atlanta. Pitts wasn’t buying it and shot down Florio’s report on Twitter.
