Shady calls it a career.

LeSean McCoy is hanging up his cleats after a 12-year NFL career. The Eagles announced that their all-time rushing leader will sign a one-day contract with the team so that he can official retire as an Eagle:

McCoy spent the first six years of his career in Philadelphia before he was traded to the Bills following the 2014 season. During that span, McCoy made three Pro Bowl appearances and was a First-Team All-Pro selection twice.

McCoy led the NFL in rushing touchdowns (17) and total touchdowns (20) in 2011. He also led the league in rushing yards (1,607) and yards from scrimmage (2,146) in 2013. On top of that, he’s the Eagles’ all-time rushing leader with 6,792 yards.

Shady will likely be remembered most for his performance in the “Snow Bowl” against the Lions in Week 14 of the 2013 season. As a snow storm hit Philly, McCoy gashed Detroit on the ground, rushing for 217 yards and two touchdowns in the 34-20 win.

“LeSean possessed a unique combination of speed, elusiveness, and an exceptional playmaking ability that made him one of the most dynamic players in the league, and one of the most productive players in the history of our franchise,” said Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie. “LeSean carried himself with a rare blend of confidence and youthful enthusiasm, but he also was driven by a desire to be one of the all-time greats at the running back position, and that’s what made him such an exciting player to be around and watch every week. He provided so many memorable plays and performances over the course of his career. We are honored to share in this special day with LeSean and look forward to recognizing him as the Eagles Legend of the Game on Sunday.”
