The hype seems to keep building for Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson.

Wilson, a third-round pick last year, recently got some major praise from Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo as a standout from practices.

And now NFL.com’s Adam Rank tabbed him as the team’s 2021 breakout star:

“Wilson, a third-round pick in 2020, is one of the Bengals defenders generating some buzz this offseason. He played in 12 games as a rookie and made some impressive plays. Wilson missed the last three games of the season with an ankle injury, but he appears to be healthy and ready to go. He’s going to get a chance to start for a Bengals linebacker corps that could use a little bit of help. Don’t be surprised if you hear his name a bunch this season.”

Indeed, Wilson should keep coming into his own as a standout defender for the Bengals based on what he flashed last year and what the team has planned for him in the heart of the defense.

It’s especially notable that Wilson was the pick over other possible breakout stars like a Jonah Williams or maybe a Tee Higgins. But it speaks to what he put on film and how he fits.

While much of the defense hasn’t been the recipient of praise this offseason, Wilson looks like a guy who could make headlines as a sophomore.
