Let’s take our weekly visit to the EA Madden Universe to see how Sunday Night Football plays out!

Here’s what happened in our simulation:

The Kansas City Chiefs were looking for back-to-back wins as they hosted the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football, and we played out the game in the EA Universe.

The AFC title rematch included turnovers, a new Chiefs offensive weapon and Patrick Mahomes outplaying Josh Allen.

The secondary for the Chiefs was all over Allen, making plays by picking him off three times within the first two quarters of the game — interceptions from Mike Hughes, Juan Thornhill and Charvarius Ward. Allen finished with five total picks.

The presence of Josh Gordon did play a role in opening up more passing lanes for Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill. Gordon had four receptions for 40 yards by halftime, and the second quarter allowed Kelce and Hill to get open and add two touchdowns.

Mahomes took advantage of every Allen interception. Mahomes played rather conservatively, but it always worked when it was time to get a chunk play, especially with Hill streaking downfield. Mahomes was very accurate on throws 20-plus yards downfield.

Final score: Chiefs 42, Bills 21

In Week 6, the Chiefs are back on the road, traveling to Washington D.C. to take on the Football Team. Kickoff is set for Noon Arrowhead time, and we will once again bring you the matchup beforehand in the EA Universe.
