The Indianapolis Colts may be entitled to a compensatory pick in the 2023 NFL draft after right guard Mark Glowinski agreed to a three-year deal with the New York Giants on Monday.

Since we’re just getting started in the legal tampering period with free agency officially starting on Wednesday, this is subject to change. For now, though, the Colts may be getting a sixth-round compensatory pick in 2023, according to Nick Korte of Over The Cap.

If the Colts wind up being more aggressive with their signings, it could cancel out this projected compensatory pick. The Colts are still expected to see many of their pending free agents hit the market so how this all shakes out this remains to be seen.

But the loss of Glowinski will be notable. This may give Danny Pinter the chance to earn the starting role at right guard while Chris Reed and Matt Pryor still have the chance to be re-signed.

In a 2023 draft class where the Colts already have an extra pick on Day 2 thanks to the Carson Wentz trade, Indy may be in line to add another selection thanks to the compensatory formula.
