The entire class is in the fold

Going into the final days before Training Camp, the Minnesota Vikings had signed all but three of their 2021 NFL Draft selections. Three of their four third-round selections remained unsigned, but they all put pen to paper on their first NFL contracts on Monday. Here are all the figures on their deals, courtesy of Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

  • North Carolina linebacker Chazz Surratt signed a four-year deal worth $5.015 million, including a signing bonus of $1.007 million. He will have a cap hit of $911,836 for this season.
  • Ohio State guard Wyatt Davis signed a four-year deal worth $4.884 million, including a $912,216 signing bonus. He will count for $888,054 against the Vikings’ cap in 2021.
  • Pittsburgh defensive end Patrick Jones II also inked a four-year deal with a value of $4.87 million, which includes a signing bonus of $901,892. His cap hit for this season is $885,473.

That, officially, puts all 11 of the Vikings’ picks from this past April under contract. Surratt, Davis, and Jones all reported to camp on Sunday with the rest of the rookies, while veterans will report tomorrow and the first practice will be held on Thursday.

Congratulations to Chazz Surratt, Wyatt Davis, and Patrick Jones II on officially becoming members of the Minnesota Vikings and a part of the National Football League!
