It’s the first MNF matchup of the year!

For the first time in the regular season, football will be played in Las Vegas with a packed crowd in attendance. Allegiant Stadium is ready to make its in-season debut with fans, and it’s a big one for the hometown Las Vegas Raiders: Monday Night Football.

The Raiders are hoping to build upon a mediocre 2020 season in which they finished second in the AFC West with an 8-8 record. There have been questions about Derek Carr as a franchise quarterback. Some have questions analyst-turned-general manager Mike Mayock, especially after the Raiders recently cut 2020 third-round pick Tanner Muse after just one season.

Week 1 will provide a measuring stick for the Raiders, as the Baltimore Ravens are in town. Though Baltimore finished second behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North last year, they made it further in the playoffs after downing the Titans in the divisional round. But the offense was stagnant against the Buffalo Bills, leading many to believe Lamar Jackson needs to step his game up more if the Ravens want to truly contend in the top-heavy AFC.

So whose season will get off to a promising start? Who will have to go back to the drawing board?

Enjoy Monday Night Football with us!
