New 2-round mock shows lots of talent potentially available when 49ers pick

The 49ers don’t pick until late in the second round of this year’s draft. Barring a trade up, they won’t pick until No. 61 overall after trading away their 2022 first-round choice in the move up to No. 3 overall in last year’s draft.

The good news for San Francisco is this appears to be a good year to stock up on Day 2 picks. NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah said as much in a pre-combine conference call, and the Athletic’s Dane Brugler made it more apparent in his two-round mock draft.

Accuracy, especially in Round 2 of a mock draft, is nigh impossible, but we can still glean the general idea of which players could make it to the vicinity of the 49ers’ choice at No. 61.

Let’s look at the players that go between No. 55 and 64 in Brugler’s mock that could make sense for San Francisco.
