At this point, the needs for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2024 NFL draft are fairly clear. You can just look at the offensive and defensive depth charts as of now and see where the team has a need for either a starter or a key backup.

On offense, the top positions of need are still center, wide receiver and offensive tackle, in that order. NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah put out a new one-round mock draft and he opted for former Oklahoma offensive tackle Tyler Guyton.

Technically speaking, this pick does fill a need. Guyton could develop into a starter and allow Broderick Jones to move to left tackle. But with guys like five-tool offensive lineman Graham Barton, wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. and center Jackson Powers-Johnson all on the board, Guyton doesn’t feel like the best use of the pick.
