These are the 10 most important Giants, at least in one person’s opinion

We finish our series ranking the New York Giants 90-man roster with the top 10 players. Le the arguments commence.

Nos. 10-1

10. S Jabrill Peppers — This might seem high for Peppers, but he is coming off an excellent season. His energy and playmaking are both important.

9. C Nick Gates — For me, this ranking reflects both the fact that I believe Gates is a good player and that he is the leader of a position group critical to the success or failure of the 2021 Giants.

8. DL Dexter Lawrence — Sexy Dexy could be a top 5 player on this list when it’s all said and done.

7. LB Blake Martinez — He is the on-field brain of Patrick Graham’s constantly changing defense.

6. CB James Bradberry — He is an elite player at one of the game’s premium positions.

5. WR Kenny Golladay — The Giants need him to be the game-changing receiver they are paying him to be.

4. DB Logan Ryan — On talent alone, this ranking is probably too high for Ryan. It reflects how valuable I believe his leadership is.

3. DL Leonard Williams — The biggest difference-maker on the Giants’ defense.

2. RB Saquon Barkley — The Giants’ best player. Cross your fingers that he is still SAQUON BARKLEY.

1. QB Daniel Jones — The Giants might wins 6 games. They might win 11. The biggest variable is the third-year quarterback. He is their most important player.
