The Jets announced their 2021 preseason schedule with dates and times on Tuesday.
The NFL preseason has consisted of four exhibition games since 1978. However, the NFL decided to reduce the number of preseason games from four to three this year after having no preseason in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to shortening the preseason schedule, the NFL is condensing the games, too. There will be no overtime period in the preseason for the first time since 1973.
