Herm Edwards is under fire at Arizona State for a multitude of recruiting violations over the past year, according to Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel.

Edwards and his staff allegedly met with and hosted recruits during a 14-month period when none were allowed, including on-campus visits and illicit practices, according to Thamel. Arizona State and the NCAA are investigating the matter after an anonymous tipster sent “a dossier of dozens of pages” that “included screenshots, receipts, pictures and emails related to numerous potential violations within Arizona State’s football program.”

Edwards joined Arizona State in 2018 and has a 17–13 record. He left the NFL in 2008 after three seasons as the Chiefs head coach and five with the Jets from 2001-2005. He went 39-41 in the regular season and made the playoffs three times with a 2-3 record.
