4 Jets who could be challenged by new schemes

This isn’t the same Jets team from previous years.

Not only did Robert Saleh’s hiring usher in a brand new era for the Jets, but it also brought new offensive and defensive schemes under Mike LaFleur and Jeff Ulbrich. This is good news for some players and potentially bad news for others who are trying to pick up the new playbook before the season starts.

Joe Douglas and Saleh worked together to shape the roster to fit the new schemes, but not everyone will acquiesce well in their new roles. LaFleur did say in the past that he won’t pigeonhole his players to fit his offense, but that doesn’t mean everyone on the team will excel.
