Michigan’s emotional leader broke his leg against Michael Hall Jr.’s Buckeyes last season

The Cleveland Browns spent their first two picks on linemen in 2024 with both coming out of the Big 10. After selecting DT Michael Hall Jr. from The Ohio State University, GM Andrew Berry went with the other team in The Game, selecting OG Zak Zinter from the University of Michigan.

Zinter was the emotional leader of the Wolverines but wasn’t able to play in the College Football Playoffs after breaking his leg against the Buckeyes at the end of the regular season.

The Browns seemed to be focused on adding an offensive tackle early in this year’s NFL draft but a lot went before their selection in the third round. Instead, Zinter is added to the interior offensive line room led by veterans Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller.

Cleveland has quality depth with Michael Dunn leading the way along with versatile players Germain Ifedi, Dawson Deaton, James Hudson III and Luke Wypler all capable of playing guard. The team’s site lists Ifedi (normally a tackle) and Deaton (generally considered a center) at guard while Hudson is listed as a tackle and Wypler at center.

Looking at the Browns guard depth chart, how do you feel about it for 2024 and moving forward?
