Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio was right.

Earlier in the offseason, the Texans shipped off the 23rd overall pick to the Minnesota Vikings for a second-rounder (pick No. 42) and future assets, believing they could get a player of similar value.

On Thursday, an NFL draft featured a record-breaking 23 offensive players selected in the first round. Thanks to that, multiple players who were thought to be Day 1locks find themselves still available on Day 2.

Houston, linked to several of the remaining top prospects, has the 10th pick in Round 2 but could be willing to make moves. Caserio’s no stranger to moving draft picks, having made 15 trades combined in the past two drafts.

Here are five targets for the Texans with their first pick at No. 42 or in a trade-up.
