NFL playoff expert picks: Lions vs. Rams score predictions

Our staff makes their picks and predictions for the Wild Card playoff game between the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams.

The Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams face off on Sunday night in the most anticipated Wild Card matchup of the weekend. Even putting aside all the Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford storylines, this figures to be one of the most interesting matchups the NFL has to offer. It’s two of the best and hottest offenses in the league, and two of the most respected coaches in the game.

Most people—including you Lions fans—are expecting a very close game at Ford Field. The Vegas line for this game has hovered around Lions -3 for most of the week. That means y’all better get yourself mentally prepared for a tight one that could come down to the very last possession. Pad your nearby walls, as needed.

Anyway, how is our staff feeling for the Lions’ first home playoff game in 30 years? Well, I suppose the best word for it is confident. While most of us are predicting a razor thin margin for the game, all of us are sticking with the home team here.
