NFL Power Rankings entering Week 8: Eagles take over top spot

It’s the end of October in the 2023 NFL season, meaning we’ve officially reached the middle of the season. It’s a sad reality, though. Seven weeks of football have already come and gone and now we get set for the halfway point in the year before turning our attention to the various playoff races. And speaking of the top teams vying for a postseason berth, the top of this week’s power rankings have once again shifted after another wild week.

The Philadelphia Eagles claimed the top spot for the first time all year while the San Francisco 49ers are beginning to fall after losing two games in a row. With other top teams like the Detroit Lions and the Miami Dolphins also suffering losses, how far did some of these teams fall?
