NFL Week 18 Sunday Schedule and Game Picks: Who makes the final playoff push?

The Packers could manage to reach the #6 seed with some help, but they need to take care of their own business first this afternoon.

Today is the final day of the NFL’s 2023 regular season, and after today’s 14 games, we will finally have the full set of playoff rankings for next week’s Wild Card round. There were a whopping 20 teams still mathematically alive in the playoff hunt entering week 18, and of course that group includes the Green Bay Packers, who can clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Chicago Bears this afternoon.

The Packers are not locked into the 7th and final NFC playoff seed, however, as they could reach the 6th spot with a win and some help. That assistance would need to come in the form of a win by the San Francisco 49ers over the Los Angeles Rams, with both teams planning to sit some starters. Both teams will sit their quarterbacks, making this game a Sam Darnold vs. Carson Wentz matchup rather than Brock Purdy vs. Matthew Stafford.
