Bill Belichick says ‘there’s not enough superlatives and adjectives’ to describe the run of Tom Brady

Sunday will mark the 350th game of Tom Brady’s NFL career between his regular seasons and postseasons.

His former head coach knows the longevity is difficult to describe.

“Yeah, I mean, Tom’s had an unbelievable career,” Bill Belichick told reporters during his Wednesday press conference at Gillette Stadium. “I mean, you can’t — there’s not enough superlatives and adjectives to compliment him on everything that he’s achieved, he continues to achieve. So, it’s unbelievably impressive.”

Brady has completed 68.8 percent of his passes this September for the 2-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 44-year-old quarterback stands with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions through the air and an additional score on the ground.

“Nothing Tom does surprises me,” Belichick said. “He’s a great player, works hard, takes care of himself. I mean, he’s talking about playing until 50. If anybody can do it, he probably can.”

Brady finds himself 68 yards away from breaking Drew Brees’ NFL record for passing yardage. That milestone will be reached at Gillette Stadium against the New England Patriots, now 22 campaigns after he was drafted by the organization.

Belichick was asked whether he considered Brady a tough quarterback to defend.

“Do you consider him a tough quarterback to defend? Is that the question? Yeah, he’s as tough as any quarterback there is or ever has been,” he replied. “I mean, enough said. His numbers are incredible. He’s about the pass the all-time passing record. He’s done more than any other player at that position in whatever measurement you want to take, whether it’s yards, completions, touchdowns, championships, you name it. So, put anything out there you want. It doesn’t get any tougher than him.”
