All eyes on Dak Prescott’s calf.

As the Dallas Cowboys come off their bye week and prepare to travel up north to take on the Minnesota Vikings, all eyes are on Dak Prescott’s calf. Prescott injured the calf on the last play of the win over the New England Patriots in overtime, and was wearing a walking boot last week. The walking boot has come off, but just how much he could practice this week is the biggest storyline in Dallas.

Today, Prescott received a limited designation in practice. Earlier coach Mike McCarthy said Prescott would participate in individual drills and they would proceed after evaluating that aspect.

His teammate, CeeDee Lamb, gave his observations.

Trevon Diggs, Dorance Armstrong and Tyron Smith were all designated as limited.

Some important additions to practice include Michael Gallup. He has opened the three-week window on practicing before he needs to be activated. It’s unknown at this point when he will be able to play.

Trysten Hill was also back at practice for the first time since his ACL injury in the fifth game of the 2020 season.

Other additions to the Cowboys practice routine were rookie cornerback Kelvin Joseph and reserve tight end Sean McKeon.

La’el Collins was back at practice, but obviously not coming off of injury. Instead it was a five-game suspension. As noted earlier, he’s working at right tackle and left guard.
