Sunday was costly for the Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys emerged from Minnesota with their sixth win in a row, but the victory came at a price. Football is a battle of attrition, as many have often said, and getting through battles unscathed is often a win in and of itself. Unfortunately, the Cowboys didn’t escape their battle with the Vikings without any injuries.

Many saw left tackle Tyron Smith not finish the game and afterwards it was revealed that he has an ankle sprain.

Time will tell as to whether or not Smith is able to play on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. For what it’s worth, with La’el Collins’ return the Cowboys do have some sudden depth at tackle.

Also absent near the very end was cornerback Trevon Diggs, he also has an ankle sprain.

Sunday marked the first game this season that Diggs did not record an interception. He is vital to the Cowboys’ success on defense so it is nice to see that all seemed well after the game.

Finally, it seems as if the Cowboys may have lost one of their promising rookies for the season as reports are that Jabril Cox might have tore his ACL.

Cox has been a contributor on specials teams and was starting to develop on defense, but that looks like it will have to wait until 2022.
