An impressive achievement for Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

The Dallas Cowboys earned their fifth win in a row on Sunday against the New England Patriots and did so in rather impressive fashion. Altogether, America’s Team saw significant contributions from the likes of Randy Gregory and Trevon Diggs on defense and the usual suspects on offense like Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

It is the team’s quarterback that we are here to discuss because, well, he did something supremely impressive. To be clear, Dak Prescott did something historic.

Dallas had to go to extra time in order to defeat New England and as a result had more time to work and and fill up the box score. One of the things that is obviously tracked is passing yards and Dak Prescott finished with 445 of them.

According to the Dallas Cowboys, that is the most against a Bill Belichick-coached Patriots team. Ever.

Passing yards are hardly the end-all, be-all when it comes to measuring quarterback play, but doing anything like this for the first time against Bill Belichick’s defense is an extremely impressive accomplishment.

Sunday’s win was actually the first for the Cowboys franchise against a Belichick-coached Patriots team so they went into the record books for a number of positive things.

Well done, Dak Prescott. Well done.
