What prop bets are you willing to take for this week’s Cowboys game?

When the Dallas Cowboys play the Washington Commanders on Thursday, we’ll all be rooting for a Cowboys victory, but there is a way to add a little more spice to the game. Prop bets!

DraftKing Sportsbook has a dizzying array of interesting prop bets for the game, so we’ll take a look at a few to try and get an idea of how the game may go.

First, a brief primer on the odds:

All the betting odds at North American sportsbooks are based around a bet of $100. A plus sign (positive odds) indicates your profit on a bet of $100, while a minus sign (negative odds) indicates the amount you would have to bet for a $100 profit.

So, a +200 line means that, should the sports bettor win, they receive $200 profit for every $100 they wager (plus their original $100 back). If the wager had a minus sign (i.e. -200), it would mean that the sports bettors will earn $100 profit for every $200 they wager.

We are doing an all-over week on our betting props.

Sam Howell over 1.5 passing TDs (+120)

By the second half, the Cowboys should be leading the game forcing the Commanders to pass more. The Cowboys secondary is strong, but with so many pass attempts we think Sam Howell will break through with a couple of touchdown throws. Plus, the payout is exceptional on this one so we are rolling the dice on an over.

Dak Prescott over 265.5 passing yards (-115)

We’re taking the over here because the Cowboys are an offensive juggernaut at home. Dak Prescott and company will light it up early, then settle into a more conventional run/pass mix to milk the clock. Along the way, Prescott will get to nearly 300 yards passing.

Brandon Cooks over 39.5 receiving yards (-115)

This is a gut call, but we’re predicting a big passing day for Prescott, and Cooks getting 40+ yards feels very doable. It’s hard to guess where Dak will throw most weeks outside of CeeDee Lamb, but there will be enough to go around this week to get Cooks the over.

Brian Robinson Jr. over 38.5 rushing yards (-115)

The Cowboys can be gashed in the run game occasionally, the Panthers got a little of that going last week early on. Washington will do the same until they have to go to the pass to catch up. Robinson over 50 yards rushing in the game is a good number, so take the over.

Where do you stand on these prop bets? Which would you take? Hit the comments.

Those are only a small fraction of the prop bets available for the game. Check out DraftKings for more.
