Following a disastrous performance against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, the Tennessee Titans now have to shift their attention to another AFC North foe that has had their number in recent years.

Tennessee will host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in a game between two desperate teams that are trying to turn their respective seasons around.

The Bengals have won three straight contests against the Titans, going a perfect 3-0 during the Mike Vrabel era. One of those wins came in the infamous playoff loss at the end of the 2021 campaign.

Cincinnati is a talented team with a formidable roster that has several players who could help the Titans out. Considering the disaster going on with Andre Dillard, I strongly thought about going with Orlando Brown Jr., as well as either of the talented wide receivers in Ja’Marr Chase or Tee Higgins.

However, if I’m allowed to steal one player from their team to have not only for this year but for the foreseeable future, then there’s only one realistic person to go with.

Ever since being drafted back in 2020, Quarterback Joe Burrow has led the Bengals to two AFC Championship games and a Super Bowl appearance.

Needless to say, he’s the guy I want, considering he would Solidify the most important position in all of sports for at least the next decade.

The thing that bothers me when it comes to great quarterbacks is how people tend to nitpick their games to find flaws in order to discredit what they’ve accomplished.

People have seemingly forgotten how much of a disaster Cincy was before Burrow got there. Some choose to act like it’s a coincidence that the Bengals suddenly turned it around once he arrived, often trying to give credit to the defense and everybody else instead of just admitting that Burrow is a franchise-changing quarterback.

Unfortunately for the Bengals, Burrow is dealing with a calf injury, and it’s undoubtedly impacting his play on the field. But that doesn’t change the fact that him at his best is more than good enough to compete for a championship every single season that he’s out there.

Do I think throwing this injured version of Burrow onto the 2023 Titans would put Tennessee in the title conversation? Probably not.

On the contrary, do I think throwing Burrow onto this roster would solidify the quarterback position for the foreseeable future, which would then allow the team to build around him, eventually creating a bona fide title contender?

Absolutely.

And for that reason, he is the clear choice for me if I were allowed to steal any player from the Bengals.
