The Tennessee Titans opened the week as more than a touchdown favorite over the New York Jets ahead of their Week 4 matchup at MetLife Stadium, but the spread has shrunk since we last checked in on it.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Titans are 6.5-point road favorites over the Jets, with an over/under of 44.5. The spread is down from 7.5, as is the over/under, which began the week at 45.5.

So, what happened to close to gap?

Well, this probably has to do with the injuries the Titans are dealing with at wide receiver in A.J. Brown and Julio Jones, both of whom have been ruled out for Week 4 with a hamstring injury.

The Titans will now be rolling with a group of unheralded wideouts in Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chester Rogers, and Josh Reynolds, making things a bit more difficult for an offense that was already having issues.

Thankfully for Tennessee, the defense has been playing well and is facing a Jets offense that is the worst in the NFL. And, while New York’s defense has been respectable, it is also dealing with injuries.

While the Titans have been susceptible to letdown games the past few years, we still anticipate a victory this week, albeit in potentially ugly fashion. The Titans should still cover, and we’d be comfortable slamming the under here.
