That sounds like a good idea

The season is over for the Minnesota Vikings, and that stinks. Even though this season was a little painful to watch at times, having Minnesota Vikings football is always better than not having Minnesota Vikings football. I think we can all agree on that.

Another thing that we can all agree on is something that we got confirmation of on Sunday afternoon in Detroit, and that’s the fact that Justin Jefferson is good at football.

Like, really, really good at football.

With his 12-catch, 192-yard performance in the regular season finale, Jefferson finished the season with 1,074 receiving yards. Now, that obviously pales in comparison to the numbers that he put up in the first three seasons of his career, but it looks pretty darn good when you figure in that Jefferson missed seven games and departed before the end of the first quarter in an eighth this season.

Basically, in what amounts to 9 14 games, Jefferson still managed to go over the 1,000-yard receiving mark. And he did that with the rotating clown car of quarterbacks that the Vikings put out there in the second half of the season throwing him the ball for some of it.

I know that people are going to point to a few other receivers when there’s a discussion about who the best wide receiver in the National Football League is. But we know better, don’t we?

It’s pretty obvious who the best wide receiver in the National Football League is, honestly. Here’s hoping that in 2024 we can get 17 weeks of competent quarterback play and a healthy #18 to re-establish that fact once again.
