Monday Open Thread: October 18, 2021

They’re going to give me a heart attack one of these weeks

Happy Monday, everyone!

Well, they made a drama out of it, but the Vikings got the W yesterday on the road. After building an 11 point lead well into the 4th quarter, behind a strong defensive performance, a very good day by Dalvin Cook, and an excellent performance by Kirk Cousins, the Vikings surrendered that lead in a frustratingly horrific way (4th and 10 from the opposing team’s 5, and they convert a 50 yard pass?!?!). The tie sent them to overtime, and then Cousins and the passing game sealed the win for the Vikes. Hats off to Kirk Cousins for putting together one hell of a game.

I wish this team would learn how to seal a win, but hey, it’s a win, and the team is back to .500 going into the bye week. I’ll take it. It’s weird, I can see the Vikings beating any team in the NFL, but I can also see them losing to any team in the NFL. Odd. I’m also miraculously still alive in my survivor league.
