Trent Brown last played on the opening drive of New England’s opener.

As the New England Patriots returned to practice on Wednesday, so did Trent Brown.

The starting offensive tackle was spotted during the media-access window, in turn opening his 21-day window to be activated from injured reserve.

Brown had exited seven snaps into New England’s season opener versus the Miami Dolphins due to a calf strain. He was officially moved to IR on Oct. 9. In his extended absence, the Patriots have started Yasir Durant, Justin Herron and now Mike Onwenu on the right side of the line.

A 19-game starter on the left side for the Patriots en route to Super Bowl LIII, Brown was reacquired from the Las Vegas Raiders in March. The deal saw a 2022 seventh-round pick and a 2022 fifth-round pick change hands as Brown agreed to a revised one-year contract carrying a $6.5 million guaranteed base salary and $7.588 million cap number.

The 28-year-old Florida product originally entered the league in the seventh round of the 2015 draft with the San Francisco 49ers.

New England hosts the Cleveland Browns for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
