Patriots vs. Cowboys Friday injury report: Shaq Mason out, eight others questionable for New England

Game statuses for Sunday’s 4:25 p.m. ET matchup at Gillette Stadium.

The New England Patriots have ruled out Shaq Mason in advance of Sunday’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

The starting right guard would be listed as a non-participant on Friday due to an abdomen issue that will keep him sidelined for a second consecutive game. In addition, starting left tackle Isaiah Wynn’s stint on the Covid-19 reserve list continues while eight New England teammates are officially questionable.

Here’s the final injury report heading into the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium.

• DE Dorance Armstrong (ankle)

Not factoring into New England’s injury report or active roster, Wynn is set to miss a second start, as well, after playing 100 percent of the offensive snaps through four games. But also out for the Patriots along with Mason on Sunday is Wade. The rookie fifth-round cornerback from Ohio State sustained a concussion in practice last week and has yet to return.

Two Patriots running backs are now questionable after Taylor joined Harris on the injury report as a limited participant to close the work week. The 2020 undrafted arrival has a groin ailment and New England’s starting back exited last Sunday with chest and ribs ailments. As for Dallas, each questionable player aside from an NFL All-Decade selection at left tackle practiced on Friday. The Cowboys also announced that Diggs, who has six interceptions through five games in the secondary this fall, “will continue to receive treatment on his injured ankle into the weekend and will probably be a game-time decision.”
