Interim head coach reportedly a candidate for Tennessee Titans’ job
In a move that may prompt Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis to hasten his coaching search, the franchise know has competition for interim head coach Antonio Pierce.
Impressed by his style and his 5-4 record to finish the season, the Tennessee Titans have asked for permission to interview Pierce for their open head-coaching job according to NFL Media.

The Titans fired coach Mike Vrabel on Tuesday and are starting the process of beginning the interview process.
Pierce is considered a favorite to be get the Raiders’ job. Speculation persists that he is a favorite along with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. While the Raiders have reportedly set up interviews with six candidates for the open general manager job, there has been no reports this week about coaching candidates.
If the Titans are serious about Pierce and Davis wants him, he may have to move quickly.
It was speculated by NFL Media on Tuesday that Pierce may not get interest elsewhere partly because he bought into the Raiders’ persona so much since taking over for the fired Josh McDaniels. Clearly, though, the Titans are intrigued by him.
If the #raiders are considering Antonio Pierce for thier head coaching job … why isn’t he getting any love from other team’s looking for their next head coach? @mikegarafolo brilliantly explains why on the latest The NFL Report. pic.twitter.com/fn4nUb2Vy2

In addition to the Raiders and Titans openings, there are five other jobs currently open in the NFL. They are the Chargers, Panthers, Commanders, Falcons and Seahawks.
It will be interesting to see if Pierce gets more interest.
Here’s a legit question that I don’t think has gotten much thought: Will Antonio Pierce get interest for other head-coaching jobs in addition to #Raiders ?
