The Raiders 2022 4th-round draft pick now in Kansas City

Back in August on cut-down day, the Las Vegas Raiders made a surprise move trading 2022 fourth-round pick Neil Farrell Jr. to AFC West rival, the Kansas City Chiefs.

The trade, made by now former Las Vegas general manager Dave Ziegler, saw the LSU product go to the Chiefs for a 2024 sixth-round pick.

So, the Raiders pretty much gave up on a mid-round pick after just one year (with a modest compensation return).

Farrell was the No. 126 overall pick in 2022 and was the third overall and first defensive draft pick of the Dave Ziegler-Josh McDaniels tenure. He played just 158 snaps last season. Farrell, 24, played in nine games last season and had 12 tackles.

Farrell hasn’t gotten much playing time as a member of the Chiefs. He has played in just two games this season, playing in Weeks 3 and 5. He has played just 28 snaps as a Chief.

So, like the Raiders, Kansas City isn’t getting much from Farrell, either as we head to the Las Vegas-Kansas City game on Sunday.
