With the 2023 NFL draft just days away, rumors are flying even more so than usual, and one of them involves the Pittsburgh Steelers inquiring about the Tennessee Titans’ No. 11 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

According to ESPN’s Todd McShay, the Steelers, who own the No. 17 pick, have called the Titans about trading up to the No. 11 overall pick. Pittsburgh has also had conversations with the Chicago Bears about the No. 9 selection.

I’ve heard Pittsburgh has contacted multiple teams, including the Bears (No. 9) and Titans (No. 11), about trading up for an offensive tackle.

The problem for the Steelers here is that both the Titans and Bears figure to be in the market for a left tackle in this year’s draft, although Tennessee has signed Andre Dillard this offseason as a possible solution.

Putting that aside for now, if the Titans were to strike a deal with the Steelers, the trade value chart suggests Tennessee could land a third-round pick on top of Pittsburgh’s No. 17 selection, which would give the Titans a total of seven picks.

We’ve seen several reports about the Titans being interested in trading either up or down in the first round. I tend to believe the Titans are looking to trade up for a quarterback if that’s what it takes to get their guy, but if that fails (I think it will) a trade back is certainly possible, if not likely.
