Report: Titans to sign Avery Williamson

The Titans have yet to confirm, but it is being reported that Avery Williamson will sign with the Titans and join the 53-man roster:

So I think it is safe to say that Williamson will be here this week. They have to be bringing Williamson in to compete with Rashaan Evans – who has been nothing short of terrible this season.

Is Williamson better than Evans at this point in their respective careers? It’s hard to say for sure, but Mike broke it down pretty well here:

Trading up to draft Evans in the first round if wasn’t going to help rush the passer was always going to be a reach. But with that being said, I would have never in a million years guess he would be this bad against the run. His floor really felt like a guy that would be in the right spots all of the time even if he was limited physically in places like covering tight ends.

His floor has turned out to be a guy that constantly guesses wrong against the run.
