Rivera, Howell. and other players talk to the media after the loss
The Washington Commanders lost to the Miami Dolphins 45-10 in front of a home crowd full of Dolphins colors. This was Rivera first time calling plays since 2019, and his defense didn’t look much different than Jack Del Rio’s, who was fired after the last blowout loss. The explosive plays were going to happen against the Dolphins with Tyreek Hill and all the other weapons they have. Rivera is disappointed by how far away his team is from teams like the Cowboys and Dolphins.

He was asked about that after the game.

Antonio Gibson
Growth and development:
Antonio Gibson of if there’s ‘growth & development’ or are they ‘just words’: “Honestly it sounds like words now. We’re not going to keep saying that. Back end of the season it’s too late for growth. We can finish off strong, head into [2024]with growth but it’s too late 4 that.”

Finishing the season strong:
Here is Antonio Gibson after the game.
I asked him about this final upcoming stretch of the season.
AG told me, “it will be a shame if people were to come in here and start bullshitting because of how the season is going…we’re going to finish out the season strong.” pic.twitter.com/wbA3QKkWUR

Commanders team captain Jonathan Allen was not happy after the game.
He was calm, short and to the point.
