With one game left heading into the bye, Rivera has several hopes, one of the chiefest being coming back healthy ahead of the Buccaneers game. Several key players has missed time, including Logan Thomas, Sam Cosmi and others.

There still isn’t many starts on Heinicke’s resume, but he does have a small body of work that Rivera can judge. When he’s playing to his personality, he makes some good decisions. When he plays cautious, Rivera said, that’s when the mistakes happen.

Washington still has 10 games left to play, Rivera said, and anything can happen during that time. That’s still plenty of opportunities to improve, particularly with the team’s consistency, which has been an emphasis over the past seven weeks.

Ron Rivera says on the Heinicke QB sneak – he’s under assumption one official (Ref?) is assigned to watch the QB & on the coaches EZ footage, it was clear that Heinicke’s knee(s) did not touch the ground. Says official should have seen that.
