Who will be sitting out tonight?

We’re approximately ninety minutes from kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium, and that means that both the San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings have submitted their inactive lists for tonight’s game. Let’s take a look and see who will be sitting this one out for both sides.

San Francisco 49ers

  • QB Brandon Allen (emergency QB)
  • DL Kalia Davis
  • RB Ty Davis-Price
  • LB Jalen Graham
  • WR Deebo Samuel
  • OT Trent Williams
  • TE Brayden Willis

Williams was listed as “doubtful” on the Niners’ final injury report, so the fact that he’s out for this one is not much of a surprise. Christian McCaffrey, as expected, is active for this one after being listed as “questionable.” No other significant surprises on the injury report for the visiting side.

Minnesota Vikings

  • OT Hakeem Adeniji
  • OLB Andre Carter II
  • S Lewis Cine
  • G Ezra Cleveland
  • TE Nick Muse
  • CB Najee Thompson

Cleveland’s streak of 43 consecutive starts ends tonight, as Dalton Risner will get the start at left guard in his spot. This is also the second consecutive healthy scratch for Cine, and that pick just looks worse every damn time it happens. Kevin O’Connell reportedly said that Cine will be “up and ready to roll” next week, but we’ll see.

Those are your inactive lists for tonight, ladies and gentlemen. We’ll have the first Open Thread of the night dropping here at approximately 6:15 PM Central time, and we hope that a bunch of you will join us!
