Less than a week remains until the trade deadline, and the Seattle Seahawks are preparing for both the Week 8 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the bye week which follows it. The biggest question coming up after the bye for the Hawks is, of course, when the team can expect quarterback Russell Wilson to return to the 53 man roster from injured reserve.

While the Hawks await an answer on that matter, the team released one practice squad player, while bringing back another at a position that is not necessarily a position of need, but is certainly not a position of strength.

With Jake Luton out of practice squad elevations, there had been some who questioned whether Danny Etling would be elevated for Week 8, or if the Seahawks would be content to take the field with the newly acquired Jacob Eason as the backup. With Etling now released from the practice squad, that is no longer a question the team will need to answer in advance of Week 8.

Instead, observers can look at the addition of center Brad Lundblade, and wonder what it means at the center position, not only for starter Kyle Fuller, but for his backups Ethan Pocic and Dakoda Shepley as well.
