Lucas was in and out of the rotation in just his second game of the season.

The Seattle Seahawks had a nice 69 offensive snaps against the Dallas Cowboys, but the defense was on the field for 89, continuing their multi-year problem of not getting off the field.

On the offensive side of the ball, Geno Smith and three of the five starting offensive linemen went the distance. Anthony Bradford missed a couple of snaps due to a minor knock, otherwise he was close to 100 percent participation. The big story is Abe Lucas, whose return from injured reserve saw him play 41 snaps. Jason Peters filled in when Lucas was out, and Stone Forsythe was not used at all.

Will Dissly, who was questionable with a hip injury, had the fewest snaps of all the tight ends. Don’t know if that’s out of caution, but he’s on pace for the lowest snap count percentage of his career. That’s not good for someone who’s 5th in his position in cap hit.

Kenny McIntosh hasn’t gotten a snap yet on offense, so basically don’t bother to expect anything from him this season unless Seattle is out of backs.

Defensively, Derick Hall is just about out of the rotation. Frank Clark was once again heavily preferred to him. It was a nickel-heavy day for the Seahawks, with few snaps played by Julian Love. I’m pretty sure that the three snaps Devon Witherspoon missed were his first since making his debut in Week 2. Only Bobby Wagner played every snap.

Take a look at the stats:
