Voting is soon

Now, that the 2023 NFL regular season is over, voters for awards have all their information to make their selection.

Voting takes place this week for awards such as the NFL Defensive Player of the year award. It will be announced February 8, three days before the Super Bowl is being played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, at the NFL Honors show.

So, it’s a good time to take a look at the odds for the award. Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby is an underdog for the award. His betting odds by our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook are +5000.

The favorites are the favorites are Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garret, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and Pittsburgh Steelers pass-rusher T.J. Watt.

Crosby has become a star for the Raiders after being a fourth-round draft pick in 2019. Crosby had 14.5 sacks (a career high) with 90 tackles, 23 for loss in the 2023 NFL season. Those were all career highs.

Crosby, if he wins, would be the third Raiders’ player to win this award since it began in 1971. He joins cornerback Lester Hayes (1980) and pass-rusher Khalil Mack (2016).
