Raiders had solid pass-rush all season

After struggling for years to provide a consistent pass-rush, the Las Vegas Raiders found it in 2023.

The Raiders had 46 sacks in 17 games and were one of nine teams to record, at least, sack in every game this season.

The best part of the increase in sacks for Patrick Graham’s defense was that superstar pass-rusher Maxx Crosby finally received some help. In a season where big-dollar free agent Chandler Jones was released because of off-field issues and he didn’t play in a single game, Crosby was helped out by 2021 third-round pick Malcolm Koonce.

He came on strong late in the season and he finished with eight sacks. He had a total of two sacks in his first two seasons. Crosby had a career-high 14,5 sacks and defensive tackle provided some interior pass rush as he had five sacks.

First-round pick Tyree Wilson flashed at times and had 3.5 sacks. If he can take the next step in 2024, the Raiders’ pass-rush should be in good shape again.
