Tony Pauline reports of a different outlook between Telesco and Pierce on what do at quarterback

The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to be aggressive in the draft: There have been plenty of reports stating the Raiders will be on the hunt for a new quarterback.

Tom Telesco will be working with Antonio Pierce to make the right choice. The Raiders have been connected to Jayden Daniels since the beginning of the process. He has ties to Pierce from his days at Arizona State.

If the team wants to draft Daniels they will have to move into the top three. That is where he is expected to be drafted. However, according to Tony Pauline of SportsKeeda, Telesco and Pierce have different mindsets regarding a QB.

Pauline reported his: “There’s also been talk about the Las Vegas Raiders wanting to move up for a quarterback. The latest completely from Raiders’ draft meetings is that head coach Antonio Pierce wants to trade up for a signal caller, yet general manager Tom Telesco is leaning heavily toward sticking with second-year quarterback Aidan O’Connell and free-agent signing Gardner Minshew.”

Pierce is in win-now mode and wants to grab his guy with his coaching career tied to a QB. It was displayed in his comments during this off-season. Telesco knows how hard it is to move up, and this deep into the draft process doesn’t feel it is with the price.

If the Raiders do roll with Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew, the nation will be disappointed.
