It’s over
The Washington Commanders lost to the Dallas Cowboys, and are now 4-13 for the season. They will have the 2nd overall pick in this year’s draft and they are expected to clean house tomorrow, firing Ron Rivera, his coaching staff, and most of the front office. The Cowboys’ win gives them the NFC division title, and the #2 seed in the NFC.

Terry McLaurin was so close to hitting the 1,000-yard threshold … but DaRon Bland got his ninth interception instead.

Cooper Rush replaces Dak Prescott at QB:
Dak Prescott’s regular season comes to an end as Cooper Rush is now in. He threw four touchdown passes today to finish at 36 and will lead the #NFL in that category. #Cowboys

Cowboys FG:
Well that was a pretty significant late field goal for some of you.
Also sets up one more chance to get Terry across the finish line…

Terry McLaurin gets 1,000 yards:
Terry McLaurin gains 15 yards; now has 1,002 for the season.
— John Keim (@john_keim) January 8, 2024
Terry McLaurin just became the first Washington player to record 1,000 receiving yards in four straight seasons. Only he, Art Monk and Gary Clark have at least four 1,000-yard receiving seasons.
