Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown continues to flirt with the idea of going back to baseball and playing for the San Diego Padres, the team that drafted him in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB draft.

While Brown ultimately decided not to pursue a career in the sport, he did take part in some spring trainings with the team. Since entering the NFL, Brown has teased about a possible return to baseball several times, and typically those teases come during the offseason.

And this offseason has been no different, with Brown posting to social media on multiple occasions about the topic.

His latest foray into the matter came in the form of a video he shared of him taking swings in a batting cage, to which the San Diego Padres responded.

Brown also posted this to Instagram.

Is A.J. Brown going to be the next Bo Jackson? Quite simply, no, but not because he doesn’t have the talent. In fact, Brown was an exceptional baseball player before deciding to stick with football only.

The reality is playing two sports opens a player up to more risk, and no team in any sport is willing to accept that risk with the amount of money they’re paying out in this day and age — and Brown is due for a large payday.

Take this for what it is: Brown is bored like all players, fans, and media of eliminated teams and he’s just having some fun. Nothing more, nothing less.
